What this entry covers

In Massachusetts, the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) licenses Independent Testing Laboratories and sets testing requirements for marijuana and marijuana products in 935 CMR 500.000 (adult use) and 935 CMR 501.000 (medical use). Under 935 CMR 500.050(7)(a), before final licensure an Independent Testing Laboratory must be accredited to the most current ISO 17025 by a third-party accrediting body that signs the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement, or be certified, registered or accredited by an organization approved by the Commission. 935 CMR 500.160 requires testing in compliance with CCC protocols, including the Protocol for Sampling and Analysis of Finished Marijuana and Marijuana Products for Marijuana Establishments, Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers and Colocated Marijuana Operations.
